They gave some hit movies, I really liked their pair and their movies like Bunty aur Babli, KANK and Yuva. I think Rani was the only actress that Abhishek was able to create good chemistry with and sometimes it helps actors actresses career if they have a good chemistry with their co-stars. Abhishek didn't work with Rani on any movies after he married Ash because everybody knows that Ash and Rani were enemies few years ago and even today they don't get along much but I think Abhishek's career would've do better if he worked with Rani on few more movies, what do you guys think?

You cant keep working with the same person again and again lol ultimately it comes down to your own talent.
Abhishek can defiantly act but I feel like after Guru he made some horrible choices...his brand took a big hit with duds like Drona, Game, Dum Maaro Dum, and Players...these films nearly finished him.

Since Guru 2007 - the only tolerable film he has to his credit is Dostana...and that was in 2009! 8 years ago lol

His career has nothign to do with Rani or Ash - its HIM and his awful choices

He was working with Rani post marriage in Laaga Chunari Mein Daag (2007) - there was even footage of Aishwarya turning up on the sets of a song shoot, and it looked super duper awkward as Ash and Rani didn't acknowledge each other. Ash was standing on the side with folded arms and massive goggles and a shawl wrapped around her, I wonder if it's on YouTube.
Rani's career took a huge tumble post 2007 too, so I don't think she could have saved anyone's career. She regained popularity in 2011, but has only had 1 release in the last 5 years. They did have great chemistry though.

Abhishek has been hanging on to fame his entire career. How many second chances did he get just because of his name?! He has churned out good performances though, without doubt, but if I had grown up on film sets and had top directors working with me for 20+ years then I too would hopefully have learned *something* too.

Abhi was so miscast in Dhoom 3, and he was beyond cringeworthy in Happy New Year. Now, it seems Aishwarya will come to the rescue as they are working together(?)

They had a well liked pairing but Rani's career itself went downhill post KANK so I don't think it would have made much of a difference. One thing that I have always found surprising is that AB Corp's reluctance to produce solo movies for Abhishek. I mean Anil pretty much keeps producing films for Sonam, surely AB Sr. could easily do the same and make low-medium budget movies with Abhishek in the lead. That would be much better than acting in D3, H3 and Crappy New Year.

I would love to see them work together again. They were great I Yuva, BaB and KANK.
My favourite pairing after Kajol and SRK's

Aishwarya is a flop actress so she can't save Abhishek''s career.

Also LCMD doesn't really count as a Ranishek movie in my books as Abhishek had a glorified cameo in it.
I think I remember that Rani was annoyed with Abhishek at the time because he took a long honeymoon during filming or something so their relationship had already soured.

And let's face it LCMD didn't work because it was a clich ridden movie and a bad one at that.

It's a pity because they were so adorable together.

im not sure if it would've saved his career, but it would've given him a few more hits and increased his longevity for another year or so.
he's a good actor, i'm still perplexed why he didn't make it far.

I am not saying that Rani would able to save Abhi's career but if they worked on few more movies as a lead hero and heroine, then they would've probably lasted few more years, they were the most romantic pair after SRK-Kajol, their jodi would probably become popular like SRK-Kajol if they worked on few more movies together and I don't agree that actresses have to retire if they are 35-40, Kajol and Ash are both 40+ but they are still working on movies as a lead heroine now.

Abhi-Rani had one heck of a chemistry! They looked so damn real! I personally would've loved to see them in more films. Will tht save his career? Not really, cos after a point u need to rely on ur own talent and script sense. Abhishek is talented for sure but lacks the ambition..I also feel he kinda gave up on himself.
