This reminded me one of the first rangolis I made. I was young and so proud of my first rangoli. It was not the prettiest, but I made it. Exactly half an hour after it was done - the flower vendor came and walked all over it and destroyed it. I was so mad I wanted my grandma to stop getting flowers from him. She explained he was old and the lighting was bad and he didn't see it. I cried all evening at how unjust the world is.

Artists put a lot of time, energy, and effort into creating art. 48 hours is no small time to create something. If a group of people intentionally destroyed this art, it is vandalism. They should be punished and the artist compensated.

Instead of wasting time on Rangoli art, they should simply ask Real Rangoli to stand over there... phir dekhte hai kisme kitna dum hai.

If I am not mistaken this happened twice. The first time Deepika didn't tweet anything and the artist again recreated the Rangoli and it was again vandalized.

her movie is not releasing till december, really she speaks up in defense of an poor attacked artist and she has to be mocked for it?

really this deepika mocking is out of hand, to me she seems sincere even if she may not the most eloquent celebrity out there

This is very disgusting event. I fail to understand how a Rangoli would demean a queen like Padmavati. Just goes on to prove how radical thinking can destroy the very core of a free society.
