Arjun Kapoor comes out in support of Padmavati, says "Politics and Propaganda creates an UGLY environment!

Here's what Arjun Kapoor has to say about the controversy surrounding Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor's Padmavati!

The controversy around Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoors Padmavati refuses to end. After several attempts by the makers to clarify that there is no dream sequence between Alauddin Khilji (Ranveer Singh) and Rani Padmavati (Deepika Padukone) in the movie, the protests continued. The Karni Sena continues to threaten local distributors against screening the movie, while the Rajput Sabha has now written to the PM for imposing a ban on Padmavati. Amidst all this, director Sanjay Leela Bhansali has come out and clarified once again that there is no dream sequence in his movie. Through the medium of a video, the filmmaker said he has made the film with a lot of love and nothing in the film would offend the Rajputs.

After the video was posted on social media, several people started speaking about it. And one such guy who reacted was Arjun Kapoor. The actor came out in support of Padmavati and said, "Yet again a man has to justify creativity because politics & propaganda creates an ugly environment. He's a fantastic filmmaker his vision must be trusted. I'm sure Rani Padmavati and her story will be depicted with respect by him & @RanveerOfficial @deepikapadukone @shahidkapoor. We totally agree with Arjun and we hope that this video finally brings an end to all the controversies surrounding the film. Get set for a royal treat! We have come to know that all three lead actors of Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum historical Padmavati will kickstart the film's promotions together on November 11(Saturday) at Ahmedabad in Gujarat. The movie stars Deepika Padukone who plays Rani Padmini or Padmavati, Shahid Kapoor who plays Maha Rawal Ratan Singh and Ranveer who plays Sultan Alauddin Khilji. The film is a love story between a king and his queen and how one man's obsession with the queen's beauty destroyed so many families.

Says a trade source, "While Deepika was seen at the Padmavati 3D trailer launch as she was asked to go by Bhansali himself to attend, Shahid and Ranveer will come together on the weekend to share a common platform for an event, to promote the film. It is again a call taken by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and his creative team. The filmmaker is very clear what he wants and there's apparently a marketing strategy. Right now three of them have been seen creating some buzz through their individual promotions but now that their dates have been sorted, the entire cast will be seen on stage together at Ahmedabad.

The source adds that apart from a specific marketing strategy which initially involved only Deepika promoting the film, there were issues coordinating the dates of all three stars together. "Bhansali himself has been busy with the editing of the film, Shahid has been on a holiday, Deepika has been completing the dubbing for the film and Ranveer just completed his shoot last week. So all of them have been busy one way or another and it's been tough to get all their dates together for one day. But now, a promotional schedule and the dates of the stars have been chalked out and very soon we will get to see Shahid, Ranveer, Deepika and the filmmaker himself come together, on a common platform. By next week they will come together to share the stage to promote Padmavati. Deepika and Ranveer have no scenes at all in Padmavati, there is no dream sequence or anything at all like that, so the promotional event at Ahmedabad where all three actors will share the stage, will be one of the grandest ones ever the King and his Queen of Chittor and Alauddin Khilji all on one stage for the first time!
