Guys, just saw SLB's picture where he is heading to the parliament. I hope the government be fair towards him. Praying!!

Bhansali grilled for over 2.5 hours. Padmavati not based on History, it is based on Jayasi's poem, says, Bhansali to panel .

Gutted reading this 😔 CINEMA is his life and passion he has given his all to #Padmavati , he makes art that transcends boundaries and generations and which is capable of moving people. He deserves the best. INDIA does not deserve him.. Sad to see this

My heart just sunk reading that. Did they come to a decision? So much pain for SLB and it's heart wrenching! How much more can? So much pain is being inflicted on them.

That must have been a brutal interrogation.

I read somewhere that Padmavati is Bhansali's last historical movie which is really upsetting because I don't think there is any other director in Bollywood who can make a grand Indian historical movie right now. 💔

I feel so defeated and damn it's not even my movie and not I know anyone associated with that. I'm not getting any money out of it either. Why is it affecting me so much? Because it's abt principle. I can't see ppl being tormented like this.

I would hv not known who Bajirao or Padmavati was hadn't it been for SLB. Ppl say that he distorted Bajirao but when I came out of the movie I felt nothing but pride for that man, kashi and Mastani.

Padmavat which is Jayasi's poem . It is part of folklore. historically the character of Khilji exists but it is uncertain whether Padmavati existed. The medieval historians accepted this as part of history. But actually there are varying accounts about the whole story.

Historians and scholars have differing opinions on this.

I know same. I wouldnt have known about Bajirao Mastani if not for him. He has shown Indian culture in all its glory through his films. His films are like poetry in motion. Great artist who works hard to make movie magic to give the audience the best output ever.

People blame him for having concentrated on the love aspect in Bajirao's life but that is his choice as a filmmaker. The ones criticizing can make on whatever topic they like if they have the money. The story was depicted well and the warrior aspect was also shown.

This padmavati issue got worse all coz of BJP and elections coming up DAMN! they used it to the fullest extent to get votes!

I feel sad for the team for the man who gave it his all for the film despite the hindrances. Must be killing to go through this process.
