Because it was an embarrassment to see a journalist calling Kangana's upcoming movie as 'Manikarnika' instead of 'Simran', because no one around me including me really knew about the story heck even the fact that it's from some real life personality - because clearly the MOVIE was not promoted at all. Because the things showed in the trailer gave a vibe like it's an attempt to pass some negative/criminal activities in the name of feminism (unlike Queen) and not many people would want to see that unless it was highlighted that it's based on a true story !! Because many people like me felt pissed off with Kangana's self-proclaimed stardom and didn't go to watch the movie (yeah count me in 2nd option LOL). And lastly, the WOM isnt good. 😆

Simran failed because Kangana used up all the promotion budget to promote herself and her sob story but not the movie...She is either a very sneaky lady preparing ground for her home production Manikarnika on someone else's money, or she is just an emotional idiot who got carried away by her own emotions and forgot to promote the movie!

I think weak screen play (Not because of Kangana. She might have changed situation and dialogues. But the theme was already there).

I actually think it would have done better without the promoting of Hrithik and her personal life.

Kangana has hardly any fans so. People support her only when she is against someone they dislike. Such poor opening numbers 😆

"Youtube viewers not stepping out to the theater" but "Who cares, Kangana has 3 NA".
