Rate Shaan As a Singer? - Page 2

I don't really know much about the technicalities of singing but I, personally love his voice. It's very...soothing and euphonious.

Shaan - tanhai dil tanha safar. It's a soft rock number.

Kk - countless songs really. He is the pioneer of rock music in the industry I feel. All the younger singers come from kk school of singing where you sing flat out but still connect.

Sonu - the entire music album deewana had a complete western feel to it. Besides that he has collaborated with Many actual English artists like Adele or jay Sean or avicii. I could go on about him, but we'll leave that coz it would be my bias.

All these songs have actual rock vibes to that and if they are talking about accents then I'm glad they don't. There is something very unnatural about the anglicised Hindi that's so popular these days. At least the diction of these singers was perfect.

Just how - just how are these artists ignored??? What is so wrong in their voices or their styles that they are failing to connect with the current youth. Why should a song like aa bhi jaa tu kahin se be rated any less than say tum hi ho?? And why should a song like Sooraj dooba hain be more popular than avicii - Indian levels which is just a modified version of the same?? 😲

Anyways, guess I'm just venting since I'm still mad with that article.

It's in one of the threads I made about Shaan. Basically the article quotes as Shaan saying that he has not been very proactive about his career and if he doesn't take matters into his own hands then he will lose out on the few years of singing that's still left in him. He quotes that he still has the same voice and his singing has actually become better than what he was before but somehow he isn't getting the work that he uses to, he also says (this part was really surprising for me since I've never heard Shaan diss a singer) that he can sing the same notes that any current singer does including arijit and his voice is a lot more fresh than what's trending right now which brings in a lot of pain but doesn't really soothe. It's crazy just how bad he made it seem. Him being one of my favourites I can't see this degeneration happening. It's the time for them to command their work in the industry, instead get are left being compared to the new comers and often termed berozgar. Like really?
