Ya totally agree :D ..hmm, I guess the song is different in comparison to other songs of that time.. I can see it now, this song is definitely much better in feel, visuals, dance, portrayal of actors... it was unique :) ...these Gupt songs have some sort of 'maturity' actually.. cannot describe it..
That might be bcz the music director was very knowledgeable and borrowed from varied sources đ
That's why the songs have a sophistication about them, at the same time simple, by that I mean could be enjoyed by masses
So here are the various sources (My source as usual is wikipedia đ)
The film's soundtrack composed by Viju Shah. The song "Gupt" was copied from a french band Deep Forest's song of the same name.Tunes of The Exorcist Theme make up part of Gupt theme and majority of the soundtrack ,also the guitar tune of the song Girl like you by Scottish composer Edwyn Collins has been lifted in Mushkil bada before the second interlude and also in the soundtrack. Duniya Hasseno ka mela has the flute music directly lifted from Kitaro's Matsuri and prelude too is based on the Japanese flute tune of Kitaro.
Soundtrack consists of tunes borrowed from the background score of Hollywood movie SPEED ..
