True - if you compare him to live performances of say Hariharan or sonu or kk or Shankar Mahadevan. The only live performance of his that I liked on YouTube was gima awards and that was clearly lipsynced. But on a recording studio his voice translates beautifully!!! 😲

What contract is that? It's a long contended question in my mind as to why my favourite singer in the whole world and the lord of chords doesn't get the songs that he deserves! #sonunigam

I dont hate arijit. I liked his songs initially but now the overdose of his voice is killing me🤢 Whenever I watch some new movie trailer I hear arijits voice.

Agar use saare songs offer hote hain toh bechara woh kya karega? That intrinsic insecurity is always there - agar usne na bola and someone else sings it better then uska kya hoga? Anyways the shelf life is so less these days, there are very few artist with the guts to say no.

Every singer knows what to sing and what suits their style.. if they can't figure that out.. they have no business singing!! He should have respectfully denied some of the songs that he has sang..

I've listened to a lot of playback singers live, even older people than him. People in their 70s like SPB and Illayaraja and they sounded similar to their recorded voice. Arjit though have to wonder how his voice translates so well in a studio and not live.🤔

I'll say this again- and this is my own personal opinion so don't bash me - but comparing the current generation of singers to the older lot is foolish, coz the technology has changed so much. The yesteryear singers were that great coz unka Riyaz utna hota tha. Not that today's singers don't do Riyaz but it becomes moot when you get so much help from the technology. There are voice boosters available and throws which increases your range, then there are softwares available that increases the bass of your voice it adds a huskiness to it. Arijits voice translates beautifully and mounds well to it. Why do kk or sonu or shreya don't sound the same today as they did say even 5 yrs back. ?
Do you know how I became such a huge fan of Sonu..? I happened to see the following performance of his live at Bhaidas hall say about 15 yrs back. He wasn't even a big name then. He sung for 3 hours straight with minimal breaks without ever losing his sur once. And the variations he put in his each song were just wow!! -
