Anyone who believes in the concept that one should be comfortable in their skin, color, culture etc should disassociate from PC. She did not respect herself...and Hippo will never respect her.

It is interesting to see that in many studies sikhs/jatts are the most non indian overall, even more so then muslim punjabis who tend to be with more indian genes. I thnk sikhs and jatts in general came from outside and only mixed with native indians recently, maybe in the last 500 to 600 years, they must have become indianized maybe after the foundation of sikh religion

The region where they coming from might hold such notion thereby ingraining it deep in the minds of their earlier generation . An analogy of such sort of wannabe behaviour would be that that of "Jattism" prevailing in Indian Punjab . One can came across (again as a matter of observation) many non-Jatt guys like Khatris, Ramgharhias etc. putting up 'putt Jatt da' , 'Jatt da swag vakhra" etc. as stickers on their vehicles or status on their FB ! So no surprise if some of them , in a similar way , may come to identify as something they are not i.e. 'Jatt' .

(edit) All that^ is stated is plainly a matter of observation & not a tweaked way to either extol or demean any group .

I don't think anyone here thinks looking like western people equals to a sense of superiority or beauty.
Whenever I dig my regions history I am happy to find that we were always ruled by our own natives not some foreigners except the Brits. I am happy being what I am whether it is totally asain or a mix of genes. I have a light wheatish complexion and I wouldn't give it up to be pale white like the people in the west.
Well, to each his own I guess.

The Jat origin is a highly disputed one. If you listen to the Jats of Punjab they claim to be descendants of the warrior tribe of Scythia who reached the sub-continent extremely late hence were relegated to the lower castes when they came which is why when Guru Nanak started the castless religion of Sikhism(at least in theory) it led to a mass scale conversion in the Jat community.
Other studies have linked them to the Banjara tribe, the modern day Roma people or Gypsies who left the sub-continent but came back years later.
And many others have linked them to the Rajput community who kicked them out because they refused to practice Sati.

Modern day DNA testing has shown Jats and Rajputs to be extremely similar, giving credence to the last theory.

I am not so sure, Rajputs tested on Harrapa show a large amount of difference with Jatts. for example the pakistani and indian rajputs tested on harrapa show between 34-40% of the south indian/ASI component on average, while the sikh/haryana jatts on average show 25-32% of the south indian/ASI component. Also Jatts on average have higher northern europe component in them then Rajputs, who are more west asian shifted
