What's so bad about JHMS??

If you are planning to not watch JHMS just coz of bad reviews, I would say ... please Don't do that.

If you are planning to stamp me as an SRK shipper, please DON'T. Because I'm not.

SRK has only attracted me in movies with a stubble, a sensitive heart and mind, and a past. Chak de, Dear Zindagi, to name a few. And also in movies he had overcome his usual mannerisms, like Chennai Express. So you may well understand what kind of films I like.

I admit Imtiaz is on a spree of making similar kinds of movie, the story may seem clich, but then too why not appreciate the good things about the movie?

Why not appreciate the fact that very few movies in the industry now can show a feel good love story, but this movie did!!

Anushka Sharma... the girl who had always portrayed roles of super smart, cool and yet a woman with devastating personality, played such an out of the box role of a sweet simple Gujju girl! Never in the movie did her accent seem overdone! Why not appreciate that?

Why not appreciate SRK who looked hot af and smoothly fit himself into the role and beside Anushka, lingered as Harry even after we left the hall... why not appreciate that?

Why not appreciate the beautiful songs? Why not appreciate the never forced or out of place romantic scenes?

Why only go by clichd storyline and similarity with previous movies and long durations and this that?

Please, if not for Imtiaz ...don't miss the movie for Anushka and SRK. They did decent jobs.

i respect your sincerity

but dude you cannot force it!

let the audience decide what is good or not good for them. They may not be your definition of good or bad, they may have different taste. Let them like or dislike what they want. Lets not question why people focussed on this and why not appreciate that.

If that happens then no movie would flop and all in one way or other be appreciated

lets live and let live

let each have his choice..his likes..his dislikes without being tricked or manipulated to thinking the other way

Idk personally, but my sister watched it and according to her, it had no plot, nor any background story for both SRK and Anushka's characters. She was also confused about why they kept showing him remembering his home so much and didn't give any background on it. And well, being gujarati, she found Anushka's accent super annoying. None of us talk like that in real life! For non gujaratis, it might be funny to watch, but for us gujaratis, it's highly caricaturist. Though, this movie could have worked only if it had a plot. It's quite impossible in today's times for a plot-less movies to work just on the basis of pretty locations and star power.

Good to know someone else likes this movie too, I thought I might be the only one on this forum who actually liked this movie.

Like I wanted a fun, timepass romcom and this movie did. May be because I didn't expect much other than a simple story, it didn't disappoint me.

I had high hopes from this movie, I was disappointed not because of srk/anu acting, they were good but I want to see some story and character that i could fall in love with or i could relate that such character can exist somewhere. I couldnt connect with anything. SRK/Anu were brilliant but it was just waste of time. Songs were fine. they could have reduced the song and build up the character. The other issue is wasting 2 hour in search of a ring which had no emotional connection.

Its my personal opinion, good movie should do well and bad movies should be rejected by audience. But its not always the case, some bad movies with bad performance have made ATBB, and some good movies with brilliant performance failed to get even hit status. This movie falls in between. they need to learn from the failure and accept the verdict. i hope it recovers the budget but those who will watch the movie and left disappointed won't be able to trust his future movies.

Fair enough if you didn't genuinely like the movie but people are HELLBENT on making it seem like the worst film ever when it's not!

It does NOT deserve the negativity it's getting. Like what's so terrible about it? Did you cringe at scenes? Fine you found it boring or whatever but people are just going OTT in bashing it. The performances were brilliant! The chemistry too.

It was an easy going rom-com! Just because it's SRK or an Imtiaz film, people are unfairly running it down.

Penfolk - I understand your sentiments. Sadly on this forum , a post like this will bring more negativity to the movie.

This forum's opinion doesn't affect any movie. Aamir's movies make maximum money and he has 2 fans and least topics.

RK's movies don't make money and he is most talked about star here😉

Many people haven't seen Dangal on this forum , still it is very successful in world

Bahubali 2 is not considered a BW movie and its success is undermined here - Case Closed
