I wonder why when BOI keeps on writing nonsensical articles blaming the so called European influence directors, then nobody has a problem here? .

Kyun bhai, anything that is not masala will be trolled by BOI as European and not Indian enough?

IMO JJ was intensely Indian, only its more East Indian, with lots of references to Bengali literature, culture, movies, to Netaji and INA and also a lot of North-Eastern and Manipuri scenes was shown, even Assamese Bihu dance was there.

In what way is it non-Indian? Unless North and west Indians dont consider Bengal and North East to be part of India 🤪

BOI keeps on calling these directors like Basu, Imtiaz, Dibakar etc as European influence directors and keeps on bashing their movies as out of touch with Indian culture and not appealing to Indians

Have u read their recent abba jabba articles, almost every single one mentions that European director stuff

They also call Barfi a fluke and bemoan the Dil Chahta Hai syndrome or something like that😆

They have a JJ article too mentioning that European director syndrome ...it was there on 1st day of release I think

Jagga Jasoos Drops Further On Monday

Jagga Jasoos continued to drop on Tuesday as it grossed 3.25 crore nett apprx. If Tuesday could have managed to record same figures as Monday there could have been hope for some respectable second week numbers but now it will not even get respectable numbers let alone decent.

The film has a total of 38.75 crore nett so far and should be able to add around another 5 crore nett or so a total of around 44 crore nett for the week The business of Jagga Jasoos for the first four days is as follows.

Friday - 8,25,00,000

Saturday - 11,00,00,000

Sunday - 12,50,00,000

Monday - 3,75,00,000

Tuesday - 3,25,00,000

TOTAL - 38,75,00,000

After the failure of Tubelight and now Jagga Jasoos the Hindi industry is needs a HIT badly. There has been nothing since Bahubali 2, there was Hindi Medium but that does well sectionally and the need of hour is a genuine HIT across the board. There are Shahrukh Khan and Akshay Kumar starrers waiting in August but the real boost would be if one of the other films releasing in the next six weeks or so can do a good number as well as the SRK and Akshay films meeting or surpassing expectations.

Worldwide 2017 - Bahubali 2 Record With Limited Overseas

Bahubali - The Conclusion dominated the box office worldwide thanks to the huge India total and is the first film in Hindi to go over 800 crore worldwide. This is despite the film haveing a limited release Overseas in Hindi against other big releases. Raees was next best at 273 crore and this number seemed decent at the time but after six months its looking a good number as no other film has even come close to challenging it. Tubelight crawled to 207 crore which is lower than Dabangg (2010).

Badrinath Ki Dulhania was excellent though let down a little by the business in Gulf. Kaabil was poor across the world barring Gulf while Jolly LLB 2 did good to decent business everywhere. Jagga Jasoos will not even do 100 crore worldwide. Below are the top ten grossing films Worldwide in 2017 till date. (All collections for Hindi language only)

1. Bahubali: The Conclusion - 801 crore (ALL TIME RECORD)

2. Raees - 273 crore

3. Tubelight - 207 crore

4. Badrinath Ki Dulhania - 198 crore

5. Jolly LLB 2 - 182 crore

6. Kaabil - 155 crore

7. Jagga Jasoos 90-95 crore (expected)

8. Hindi Medium - 92 crore

9. Half Girlfriend - 86 crore

10. Sachin - A Billion Dreans - 65 crore
