I wasn't the one that had an issue with Ranveer wearing a skirt. It was your fellow Ranveer fangirls that immediately started insisting that he was wearing men's clothing, he was wearing a kilt, not a skirt, don't call it a skirt, he only wears men's clothing, it would only be a problem if he wore a sari, etc.

The issue was clearly that manly man Ranveer was being made fun of for wearing women's clothing. But don't make fun of him because he's a manly man, wearing a kilt, how dare it be called a skirt, it is male fashion, the problem will only be if he wears a sari, etc. It was clear that implying it might be feminine was an issue Ranveer fans were having a problem with.

I think he looks ridiculous not because it's a skirt but because it just looks stupid just the way most of his crazy clothes do.

She looks ridiculous, not because it's a man's clothing item regularly, but simply because it looks hilarious. She looks like a penguin.
