Why the insistence on calling it a kilt? 😕 A skirt by any other name is still a skirt. Kilts are a ceremonial dress and worn with full regalia and are almost always plaid. Even Scots don't go to random events wearing kilts.

Ranveer is just wearing a skirt. He can't go one day without his attention-seeking ways.

Eventually he's going to have to learn to be interesting, quirky and different based on a real personality and not just clownish clothes. Even Lady Gaga had to move on from meat dresses and other obnoxiousness towards normalcy because it gets to the point where people just start rolling their eyes.

There's gotta actually be something inside the box after the crazy wrapping paper gets tiring.

the stylist called it a KILT, becoz thats wat it is, its not a skirt, kilts r made for men and worn by men, this peice of clothing was not made for a women, even in the west men r wearing this as a fashion statement

and wats wrong with him wearing it? its a male garment so why can't he wear it? there is more to fashion than just the standard trousers and shirt, ofcouse it may not be to everyones taste but it doesn't mean it can't be worn

^Those are just skirts. Kilts are also just a skirt - a specific type of skirt.

In fact it's better to call it a skirt because actual kilts are plaid and worn with other regalia and is seen nowadays as a national dress for the Scots. There is a also a specific way to wear them - with long socks, lace-up shoes, and a sporran - which is that pouch they wear covering the crotch area.

If he was wearing an actual kilt, Ranveer would be doing cultural appropriation and wearing something that he really has no connection with. It would be like Kendall Jenner randomly showing up to an event wearing a sari. That kind of thing is majorly frowned upon.

Ranveer's skirt just looks like a skirt anyway. A designer skirt that some male designer decided to call a kilt so that men don't get their fragile egos hurt that they're wearing a women's garment.
