In fact it's better to call it a skirt because actual kilts are plaid and worn with other regalia and is seen nowadays as a national dress for the Scots. If he was wearing an actual kilt, Ranveer would be doing cultural appropriation and wearing something that he really has no connection with. It would be like Kendall Jenner randomly showing up to an event wearing a sari. That kind of thing is majorly frowned upon.
Ranveer's skirt just looks like a skirt anyway. A designer skirt that some male designer decided to call a kilt so that men don't get their fragile egos hurt that they're wearing a women's garment.
whether u wanna call it a skirt or kilt, thats upto u, but in male fashion world its called a kilt, and fashion designers r making variations of the kilt, in the pics i posted u can see they r now being worn with suits and trousers, fashion is constantly evolving, some r comfortable with it and some r not, but ranveer loves fashion so tries out something new all the time
and ranveer isn't wearing a traditional kilt, so he is doing no cultural appropriation
for ranveer fashion is about having fun, its not serious
if he came to an event wearing a saree and full on makeup then we can start worrying lol 😆 but ranveer has always worn clothes that hav been made for men
