*Spoiler ahead*
Okay, so I went to watch the movie with a bunch of friends, and mind you, these people sat through two-three gruelling hours of Mr. X and Raabta, one of them having watched Sultan in the theatre 5 times.
None of us could bear to sit through the entire movie and with the amount of fidgeting going around throughout, you'd think we were some gnarly 3 year olds with diaper rashes than 20 something year olds.

Oh Lord. Salman is terrible. No good way to put it. Sohail seems to be bursting out of his shirt, his nose looks a tad too big for his face. Much like how pulling off this movie seems for Salman. Om Puri, the little child and the guy who plays the shopkeeper are probably the only parts of the movie that I didn't cringe to.

The movie has the word "yakeen" so many times, that it seemed like a better title for the movie than Tubelight, which is a very lame joke from around 20 years ago, to begin with.

SRK may have his faults, but those five minutes of him on screen, with Salman in the same shot had us dying for him to simply continue. The simple difference in the voice modularity of these two actors is laughable.
Salman tries to act like a specially abled person. "Tries" may be putting it too sympathetically. Talking slowly does not an actor make. Around 3/4th of movie passes and you realise that nothing has happened so far other than Salman Khan pulling a constipated face once in a while and crying. You think something may happen in the final scenes. You are dead beat wrong.

No story exists in the movie, simply put. What Salman achieves by staring far off into the mountainlands and grunting like a man who needs a serious dose of fiber in his diet to relieve himself of the constipation and if it bears any semblance of a connection with the war his brother was in, if present in the movie, did not pass through me or any of the people in the theater.

If you're planning to watch the movie, please DON'T.

You know a movie is bad, when you come out of the theater talking about how MR. X had more plot - a movie where a man turns invisible due to his clothes getting stuck to his body with acid.

They come across unbearably farcical, crippled by what is possibly the worst performance of Salman's chequered career. The film is rendered unwatchable because of the leading man. It's the Salman Khan show, and here he is bobbing his head and widening his eyes, with all the expressiveness of a hurriedly drawn thumb-puppet.

Salman Khan is a liability in this bland film
The biggest letdown, however, is Salman himself

That Khan had redeemed himself in the last few years and had with every film, inched closer to becoming an actor from a star, feels like a wasted cause as this one reverses that evolution.😆

It's nearly always excruciating when an actor with limited talent plays a character with limited intelligence. Normally, the charge against Salman is that he doesn't do anything; here, he does so much that you'll be begging for him to go back to his minimalist ways. 😆😆

'Stop overacting! Take off shirt! Beat up bullies! Stop crying! Why are you so bloated?' 😆😆

These are seriously very bad reviews. Guess Salman should NOT experiment and go back to his patent style.😆😆😆
He has TZH coming up!

There are two things - A bad movie and A bad actor.
A good actor can survive in a bad movie.
But it seems that TL is unfortunate case of bad actor in bad movie. A horrible combination.

I will see it on Sunday, so I'll reserve my comments till then.

It is Salman movie, so 200 Cr is pukka. Beyond 200 Cr will be a problem.

Why did Salman tried to do such different and challenging role...may be after BB he thought he will try to become next Aamir. The problem is Salman is very limited actor...his movies mainly work on his comedy, action etc. Serious and emotional role is not his forte. Irfan, Aamir, Nawaz or Ranveer would have been apt for such role. Poor decision from him. In his salman avatar he will get another blockbuster in TZH

It's humorously tragic when the reviews are more entertaining than the movie itself.
A friend of mine who worships Salman to say the least, who's watched his worse movies atleast 4-5 times in the theater walked out mid way. I guess this does say a lot about the movie.

Even more Beizzati when even Sohail is praised as compared to his Bro😆

"This time, it's Sohail Khan's turn, and he gets to outshine his celebrated brother simply by keeping a straight face. Tubelight is a Salman Khan film that kept me longing to have Sohail back on screen, and those are words I'd never thought I'd type".

😆😆

whose superpower is making constipated sounds. 🤣

the Khan brothers who look to have been inflated with tyre-pumps, 🤣

His handling of the child-man is all about pulling some embarrassingly weird faces at the camera 😆

This leads to Salman trying to move mountains and stop wars by sticking his arms out and grunting earnestly, over and over 🤣

The film is rendered unwatchable because of the leading man. 😆

I'm not exactly against Salman's star power. It's what dragged us all into the theatre in the first place. But *sigh*. There's a limit to crap and some parts of the movie are so stupid that they make you question the sanity of the people making it. HOW could they watch the reels of the movie and feel like a seasoned actor acting in such a crippled manner could work? Did they think that because it is Salman Khan, it'll work?

Even acting can be tolerated, I mean I watched PRDP and didn't complain. Much. But this movie lacked ANY story to pull it off.

And people can blame SRK all they want, but his 5 minutes had more acting than the 2.5 hours of the other Khan. What grates my nerves is that it will still make 200-300 crores. How sad is that?!
