I exactly feel the same.

Back in the days when I was a kid, I had watched the flop movies of early 2000s multiple times. But now I don't even have patience to sit through the blockbusters! Things have certainly gone wrong since the beginning of the decade. With the invention of 100,200 crores club etc, the quality has been diminishing and everything has become about numbers and profits largely! Over the top promotion and the penchant for following HW mindlessly is to be blamed too!

The 90s-early 2000s were the best times for films. Sure some scripts were cheesy, but these movies had stories. They were entertaining to watch. They were family oriented - movies that could be watched with your family. The scripts were strong. Everything was perfect about them. Most actors in the generation were phenomenal actors/actresses.

Today, the scripts are horrendous. Sure you have some good movies from time to time but in general, most suck. Stories are terrible. And movies cannot be watched with the family. It's like good scripts don't exist anymore. And bearing a few decent actors, you don't see good acting chops anymore. Most everyone sucks. :(

Bring back the Hindi cinema from the 90s. :(

BW has only gotten worse... with soulless music, crap movies and nepotism generating worst actors.

Bad writers who fail to bring in new stories and concepts, bad directors who fail to deliver good products and bad actors who struggle to emote.

Dishonest critics who hail bad to average movies and bash some average movies unecessarilly.

Producers refuse to take some risks and prefer to play it safe by churning money on dull movies and seen-before concept.

sirf kapde aur gaana change hote hain..baki sab toh same to same..
