Top Ten Opening Days 2017 - Raabta 9th Bahubali Tops

Raabta had very poor first day with collections of 4.75 crore nett and just about gets into the top ten opening days of the year for Hindi films. The film has not even been able to collect as much as a film like Naam Shabana and is not much higher than Commando 2 which pretty much tells the story.

Baahubali - The Conclusion heads the charts with the highest opening day of 2017. Not only is it the highest opening day of the year but off all time as well and on top the only film in history to cross 40 crore nett on day one Below are the top ten highest opening days of the year.

1. Bahubali 2 - The Conclusion - 40,73,00,000

2. Raees - 20,29,00,000

3. Jolly LLB 2 - 12,06,00,000

4. Badrinath Ki Dulhania - 11,68,00,000

5. Half Girlfriend - 9,27,00,000

6. Kaabil - 8,02,00,000

7. Rangoon - 5,06,00,000

8. Naam Shabana - 4,87,00,000

9. Raabta - 4,75,00,000 apprx

10. Commando 2 - 4,41,00,000

Raabta is a huge disaster with around 13 crore nett in its first weekend. The film failed to pick up on Saturday so even though it was affected by the cricket on Sunday it hardly mattered as even if there was no cricket it was unlikely to grow much. The film is a huge disaster following the likes of Broken Horses, Bombay Velvet, Rock On 2 etc, etc.

There is not much scope for Monday with this sort of trend. The only thing remain to be seen is how mad will Monday be or can it see out the week with a normal weekday trend. The weekend collections of Raabta are as follows.

Friday - 4,61,00,000

Saturday - 4,25,00,000

Sunday - 4,25,00,000 apprx

Grand Total - 13,11,00,000
