😆 But honestly for SRK it is a true story. Where did KJo come from on this ? Unless he and SRK are truly one and inseparable and KJo hallucinates them as one soul 2 bodies sharing same stories 😆

The halwai one was in Chennai Express 😕 . Strange 😆

Ha?? How is Anushka from a well-off family?? I mean, I am no fan of hers from any stretch of the imagination but she is solid middle-class. Her Dad was in the Srmy & mother a house-wife, AFAIK. Hardly material for being well-to-do unless her Dad/mother come from such a family. Lol.

^ dude if u want a reply, atleast quote me directly.
Anushka kerps whining about not having enough as kid. Even in mothers day post she said how she couldn't afford a decent dress and her mother had to sew it, couldn't eat in costly restaurants cos they couldn't afford. Being a Colonel's daughter she couldn't afford this is ridiculous...dukhyari stories learnt it from mentor SRK.

^^Eh I didn't see her who said it, dude, just quickly typed out a reply, otherwise I rarely shy away from fighting, dude.

Dunno maybe it was expensive. IDK. And SRK I don't believe at all, he was barely middle-class so ya. Maybe she was making it up, maybe she wasn't, maybe her parents couldn't afford that dress/didn't want her to have it; could be anything. But KJo saying things like this is horrible & sad. He so so wants sympathy, attention & love he can stoop to strange lows like making up things about his family. If this is true, it's so hilarious & sad.

U make up a lot of stuff. Assume a lot and don't have anything concrete to back it up. Anyway SRK, Anu belong to educated upper middle class. Son of a judge/magistrate and daughter of a colonel do not belong to 'barely middle class'.

^^Ye, you like to imagine so if it helps you in any way, shape or form, pls do. I don't really care. SRK's family fell to hard times & his father did small businesses to help them pull through, they had good connections but that's about it. There are loads of colonels in India who in fact do belong to the middle class, just because you've a few privileges because of your profession, does not automatically or necessarily, catapult you to a certain "class" of society. Anyhow, feel free to imagine they're rich class or whatever class, and that people have nothing better to do than make up things when we dont have a logical explanation to decipher & make someone else understand why we club everyone into one "class" just based off their parents professions/family's ex-status, LMAO. I am just glad they made it. Ciao.

I am not sure what is your reference point for army salaries. It is not nearly as high as you imagine. Even Today an army colonel salary is 70K or so all perks added may go upto a lac- which doesnt go a long way or make you rich by any stretch of imagination. Her dad wouldnt have been a colonel throughout her childhood. He would have been at a junior rank when she was younger. I can see where she is coming from (I am sure dress being proxy for designer/fashion forward clothes vs regular clothes).

Eating out was a luxury. I have grown up in a Cantt area- not too many people ate out that often- could be also due to lack of options (as cantts are mostly in smaller cities/towns and a little far away-plus they have the best food available within the officers' mess).

Most of our parents would still balk at paying 200+ rupees for a coffee in SBX.
