So insulting working mothers is bad but insulting housewives by calling them lazy, freeloaders, is that ok??? Feminism is about respecting women choices, whether she wants to stay at home or work!! A housewife is equally respectable as a person as a working woman, as they both are working, just in a different environment :) . However i do feel that one should be financially independent so that both hubby and wife can contribute towards their better life and also if a woman gets seperated from her husband, she can live an independent life without any fear !

That's why they're being called feminazi..Na.

I don't know since when keeping house clean..cooking meals..shopping..gardening became being lazy.

And what low self esteem does a woman have to think she is free loading on husband if she doesn't work.. what kind of husband will make your wife feel like she is a free loader when he happily enjoys living in the place she made into a home ..eating healthy homecooked..meals, being tension free because everything is looked after well because no one is rushing and trying to meet deadlines.

Our moms grandmoms were never ever called lazy and freeloaders!! They used to sit and enjoy neighbourly talks in their free time. And husband's didn't think they were getting exploited for that! Or if wife happened to watch TV. What kind of zamana has come! No wonder everyone is so angry most of the time!

I think people were commenting only on Mira when they called her lazy and not all stay at home mothers. And that also because she decided to blabber nonsense about working moms.

what's your definition of "bullying"? Show me where I have bullied anyone or everyone?

Where have I said I am against people 'commenting' on her? Where have I not tolerated others' opinions of Mira?

I don't care about others' opinions or comments. Each time, in each post, I have repeatedly mentioned how she has been "receiving much hate, being verbally attacked", that is what I am against. Here is where social tolerance comes in.

Since March, have you seen how she was hated like she's committing some huge crime? Calling her all sorts of names, ridiculing her, bullying her - is that how society wants to treat a woman just for having slightly different and irresponsible views?

Like I have said, there's a difference between having an opinion and name-calling+verbal attacks+forcing an opinion on someone else. The latter is not social tolerance.

Yes, we all have opinions on everything, we have opinions on other's opinions as well, but I am only talking about how she's been at the receiving end of much hatred/name-calling/ridicule. Why has this become about "opinion" when clearly, I don't have anything against anyone's opinion, but I am only pointing at the verbal attacks/name-calling?????

My post has nothing to do with others' opinions of her, like I have said, I am respectful of everyone's opinions. It's only about the hatred+verbal attacks+bullying she has received.

Mira: I don't want to spend an hour with her and then rush to work. It's not that I am not a woman of today. You don't have to compromise on traditions and ideals to be modern. Why did I have her? She is not a puppy, you know. I want to be there for her as a mother; seeing her grow up cannot be quantified.

IF: W*F is wrong with this bitch! How dare she insult the working women when she is at home with hundreds of servants. What does she know about anything. She's a nobody, why is she even doing this interview. Fame has gone to her head. OMG she insulted the working women!!!

Few People: Well, to be fair, she's probably talking about people that are similar to her situation -- women who can and do hire nannies to take care of the child, while they travel the world because a career is more important than raising a child. I doubt she meant what you're saying.

IF: Shut up! That makes zero sense. She clearly insulted ALL WORKING WOMEN, because she said she wanted to be there as a mother. This means the middle and low class women who work to make ends meet, it means single moms who are forced to work, etc. Not everyone can snuggle up with a rich guy, have babies, and forget about work.

When I called Mira lazy I meant compared to the working mothers who she so casually criticizes, she is lazy. What does this Mira know about the hardships of working mothers? How dare she imply that working mothers don't love their baby like she does? Oh please! My mom is a housewife too. Housewives are very hardworking, they don't have every nanny, luxury and service at their beck and call like Mrs Mira Kapoor. This one is just a lazy bratty bigmouth who thinks she is a superior mother than working mothers. Both housewives and working mothers are equally great, but people like Mira are just nasty.

I think people are reading too much into what Mira said.

It was clearly a direct dig at kareena n not at working mothers at all.

And in the end she is proven right seeing how kareena doesn't like to to talk about her baby or being referred a mom.

I find the puppy comment funny. We love when celebs take digs at each other.so why is Mira treated so harshly?She indirectly called kareena puppy mommy which is hilarious IMO.
