I really didn't want to underestimate Sivagami and that she will fall for some evil plotting and manipulative drama.. Because I kept her to be the smart woman who don't fall for tricks.. but yeah the drama that SSR had this plot.. Else I think it would be too long a story.. 😉

no one said about issues yaar.. all I am telling is, to break the movie, you should alter a lot of things which could affect the continuity.. But SSR maintained the essence perfectly and did not miss the continuity! And he actually created a wonderful synchronization of events for Amarendra and Mahendra

There was no connectivity issues between part 1 and 2.. This goes to show how the movie was never intended to be a sequel.. It was just that there is so much to every character that just one movie cannot cover it all.. And any other revealing in part 1 might have been a clear give away for part 2.. So some suspense had to be retained to keep the curiosity on for part 2.. But yeah the depth of each character wasn't explored much all only because of lack of time.. Else I don't think people would want to wait for a part 3..😉

But what Sivagami did was out of bounds. And why? Didn't he know how Amarendra was as a person? She removed him from the Kingdom, banished them ... but did she really have to get him killed and destroy his family.

Same with Katappa. He killed Amara in blind allegiance, though he knew that Amara was hardly responsible.

It hurts more because both of them have been such huge influences in Amarendra's life and upbringing.

Also in another post, I was reading that Devsena didn't call Sivagami Mother only till the end. But well, was she given any reason to call her Mother? The man she loved - she knew he loved his Mother immensely, but the right to call Sivagami Mother was taken away from him as well. And she knew how it hurt him.

Given Sivagami's characterization, her apology in the beginning of the movie and SSR's statement saying that 2 main characters of his were grey, it was not difficult to understand that there was Sivagami Devi's hand in Amarendra's death. Our discussions here in the earlier threads is proof for the way our mind worked overtime over this😆
