True!! Backstabbing and dying is a metaphor but it does exist in real life!
They won't kill you physically but mentally . We can read lots of such news in real life!

Some other thoughts:

- Amarendra and Kattapa's ease with which they slide/connect/fight as they carry out a conversation in Kunthala was really cool to watch; one throws the other a weapon and catches it again speaks to a whole lot of trust and longevity of comfort with the other

- Kattapa's such a drama queen with their whole natak/drama of mandh-buddhi/simpleton nephew Amarendra 😆

- Devasena is such a softie despite being this fiery being (she immediately softens up on hearing their sob story of Amarendra being thrown out by his own family)

- Amarendra and Devasena are crackling chemistry within 10 yards of each other; so when she trips over that rock and he catches hold of her waist, a million kg of patake/crackers must have gone off nearby 😆

- the Soja-zara sequence was just balm for the soul -- Devasena's lori for the Kanha she injured in haste to prove his warrior-status (the lady cannot be duped; she knows 😆)

We are not saying Sivagami or Kattapa's character were awfully/badly written characters.
She told Amarendra to chose between his love and the crown is excusable. She had banned the couple to enter Maahishmati and that is excusable. She chained a heavily pregnant woman in the court, her own DIL but this is forgivable too. What we can never ever forgive her for is that she ordered Amarendra's execution in a spit of second! She didn't even want to clear the doubt with Amarendra or any of her spies. She widowed a young mother. She made the newly born baby an orphan. Amarendra's family didn't deserve that. And she killed the whole essence of mother in that one order!
I wanted this movie to show that whether a foster or a biological son, they are the same. And after BB1, this is what I thought would happen as well...

And devsena must have never blamed him for anything. But the man who died, died. Mahishmathi fell to ashes. Things happened. Why how , whether justified or not are other issues. But Amarendra definitely didn't deserve a murder for a throne he never claimed.
