i don't believe in this article....as part of comparisons both ash and vidya has their on talent and they are excellent in it....and love them both but have to admit ash is much bigger star than vidya and has alot of experiences she went through along with her hits and flops whereas vidya is two flims old and excellent i loved her film parineeta it was very beautiful film the way she emotes her feelings through her eyes is fantastic as LRMB is full Sanjay-Arshad film and she has a small role....

as for Ash she shares best chemistry with Salman n Hrithik....Abhisekh does not click her i don't like his pairing with ash...abhi looks excellent with rani(though i hate her)

There is really no comparison between Aishwarya Rai and Vidya Balan! Ash is not only her senior in years but also in Industry Experience! Ash is 33 while Vidya is 24! And performance is something which gets better with the passing years!

In terms of Star Value, I doubt if anyone in the Industry can beat Aishwarya! She is on the same level as SRK when it comes to sheer Star Power (Deserved or not is another matter) Ash is the most well-known Indian Face in the Western World and lets admit, she does make for a very pretty picture while representing India! Rani Mukherjee, who is by far the most talented actress of this generation, has far less Star value than Ash, even though Rani's record of hit movies far exceed what Ash has done!

Vidya on the other hand is a newcomer, with only two movies behind her! But she is one of the best newcomers launced in the last 10 years or so.....Parineeta only showed the tip of the iceberg, this girl has a long way to go! Vidya might not be glamarous per se, but is beautiful in a very Indian sort of way and that is what our audience connects to! Madhuri Dixit, Kajol, Sridevi, Rani Mukherjee prove my point! They are all extremely Earth and Indian in looks and body langauge and hence they click instantly with the audience, while Aishwarya, even though looking like a trillion buck in Indian outfits, somehow fails to connect with the audience!

If Vidya does the right sort of movies, with the right sort of Heros, she is surely the superstar of tomorrow! Her talent is undeniable and her beauty is there to see....its only a matter of time that she reaches to the top!

But comparing her to Ash is pretty unfair, on both of them! Maybe 5 years down the lane, the comparison can be made, but not right now!

Aishwarya proves once more that she can dance beautifully and look stunning, but that she can't act, even under the direction of a Mani Rathnam. Mani, who can afford not to fall prey to commercial traps, should have swapped her role with Vidya's.

Vidya is definitely better at emoting. Parineeta was brought alive by her eyes alone. Aishwarya on the other hand was a pale shadow of what Rekha was as Umrao....even her dialouges looked forced. She looked beautiful, and stiff. Somehow, when Ash acts, you know she is acting......but she looked drop dead in Dhoom. Bipasha did not stand a chance where looks are concerned after Ash made her entry. On acting department though, Vidya scores, and I think that will come through soon enough. As someone said, Vidya held her ground with the likes of Sanjay and Arshad, a feat in itself.

It's difficult to tell what's right and what's not....I feel a part of it is true and a part exaggerated.
