many of these actors , actresses, have rich parents, well known, they were in modelling, miss universe, miss india, ...all in all..they are from entertainment industry anyways.
just like insiders, its also easier for these actors to get in the film industry.

farah khan didn't go on Mumbai streets looking for a new face for oso. dips was bit known already, with a modelling career, famous daddy, and maybe from some southie movies.

Undoubtedly DP in my opinion . If she gets good roles in movies like Piku and Tamasha despite of being an outsider it is because of directors belief in her talent . And she is very much an outsider .Her father is famous but did he have any connection in bollywood or fashion industry ,I guess no .She got a place in bollywood cause of her modelling career and didn't happened in an overnight . If she was an insider she wouldn't have had the struggles post few failures ,like Karan daddy sheilded Alia ,the so called connections in BW would have protected her career .

LMAO if DP was an insider she would've been launched directly. She wouldn't have started through modeling and such. Either she would have started as an assistant director in a movie or got launched like other star kids. You can't compare DP to an insider like Abhishek or Kareena or Alia they had an adventure over her.

I am sure DP with her hardwork and perseverance would have pulled off Udta Punjab thought accent would be a big barrier.But again Alia's Bihari diction was not authentic by any means.Alia might be more natural and spontaneous but her screen presence is not sparkling.I had to concentrate 4-5 times to spot her in Break up song,eyes kept going to Anu while an old avg looking Kajol was all I saw in Disco song for 15 secs while dancing with 2 handsome hunks.DP's screen presence is amazing.There were many times in OSO I was only looking at her in scenes with SRK.Even during her wooden phase her screen presence was captivating.😃
