Star Plus did a public poll/review, too.. Here are the Public's Choice vs. Sycophants' Choice winners... Kangu didn't win any People's Choice as well. Neither did KJo's kids.. who are very popular on Twitter... Yane ki People's Choice mein bhi garbar ghotala... Mere bachche ko nahin toh phir Kangu ko bhi nahin!

Koffee With Karan Season 5 Grand Finale: Ayan Mukerji wants to cast Ranbir and Ranveer in a film?
The filmmaker thinks that would be a casting coup!

Koffee With Karan Season 5 can easily be called a hit. Not only did the season feature the A-listers of Bollywood, there were some pretty interesting things that happened on the show too. While Karan's questions had become snarkier, probing into the details, the celebrities, too, spoke their minds without inhibitions. That obviously made for some amazing content given the format of the chat show. Right from the episode starring Ranbir and Ranveer to the one with the three Khan brothers and obviously the one where Kangana took on Karan, Koffee With Karan Season 5 has been truly the stuff that Bollywood dreams are made of.


But like all good things, even this season came to an end today with a very unique finale. Karan introduced the Koffee Awards as a final round up of the season. A special jury panel comprising of Neha Dhupia, Malaika Arora, Ayan Mukerji and Rohan Joshi decided the winners of the Koffee Awards. They discussed the whole season - its highs, lows and also the best moments. Given the fact that the panel comprised of such a diverse set of filmmakers, opinions flew and arguments happened. But it was all in good spirit.

And the best part was when deciding the winner of the Best Episode award, we got a whiff of a plan that may not have been in place before the grand finale but must be on top of everyone's minds post it. Ayan Mukerji was of the opinion that the episode that featured Ranbir Kapoor and Ranveer Singh was one of the best episodes of the season and deserved to win. He even said, "Ranveer-Ranbir would be a casting coup. They are a movie waiting to happen." Now that's quite a statement to make. And it got us thinking. What if one of the filmmakers or even Ayan himself manages to do that!

Karan Johars Koffee with Karan season 5 was one of the most watched and interesting chat shows. However the show came to an end last night with a fantastic grand finale. This season we saw many celebrities right from Salman Khan to Aamir Khan, Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Akshay Kumar, Kapil Sharma, Priyanka Chopra, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor and Varun Dhawan gracing the famous Koffee couch. Several surprising revelations were mad during every episode, but one particular episode made lot of headlines. Yes, we are talking about the one during which Kangana Ranaut calling Karan as "the flag bearer of nepotism" and a "movie mafia."

Since the episode aired, Karan and Kangana have been trading blows to each other. But while we thought that the fight was over, looks like it ain't over yet. After the Koffee Awards were declared last night, Karan Johar slyly hit back at Kangana. Though he doesn't take her name, his words did the talking. In his closing thoughts during the Koffee with Karan season 5 grand finale, he mentioned, "Even the students (Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan and Sidharth Malhotra) didn't score (in this case he meant win any Koffee award), so how does that make me nepotistic? Alia went home with nothing, Sidharth didn't get an award. Varun won one. So hello, I am fair." Well, we wonder how Kangana will react to this? Anyway coming back to the grand finale, Karan Johar introduced the Koffee Awards to end the show with a bang! A few categories of awards were chosen and these awards would be given to celebrities who had attended the show during this season. A special jury consisting of Neha Dhupia, Malaika Arora, Ayan Mukerji and Rohan Joshi had to decide the winners for the best dressed, best performances, best debut and a few other categories. It was a fun-filled episode where Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Ranbir Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Shahid Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan bagged the top awards, while Kangana got none!
