During a fun Instagram Live on April 17, Karan Johar gave fans a pleasant surprise. He finally confirmed that Koffee With Karan will return for its ninth season. While chatting with fans, one of them asked, “Season 8 when?” With his usual wit, Karan replied, “It’s not Season 8… it is actually Season 9… coming soon at a digital desktop near you.” This cheeky response caught everyone’s attention and spread excitement among followers of the iconic celebrity talk show.

Apart from this big announcement, Karan also spoke openly about his weight loss journey. He shared that he has made major lifestyle changes. “Balanced lifestyle, mindful eating, consistent workouts and mental wellness,” he said, were key to his transformation. Karan admitted, “It was so boring that I was like snooze alert.” He even joked, “Main hi hamper ghar le jaata hoon,” as he felt no one deserved to win the prize anymore.

Karan further explained that the focus will now shift towards real, meaningful conversations instead of creating uncomfortable moments for celebrities. He mentioned how stars today are more cautious with their words. “I still feel Bhatt saab will be brutally honest, but I can’t even have him on the show anymore,” he said, remembering Mahesh Bhatt’s bold appearance with Emraan Hashmi.
