Indians need to stop overreacting to Sonam's gown

She is not the first actress to show side boob. A lot of Hollywood actresses have also worn similar outfits so it's not a big deal if Sonam has worn it too.

They all look horrible. Cheap. Why don't they and sonam just do what they're dying to and come in their birthday suit? Dispense with all formalities?

This is not about Indian mentality.. this is about what looks good and what doesn't.
Half the outfits in the pictures you posted are absolute trash. Those girls apart from 1-2 can't rock it. It ended up looking cheap.

Sonam just doesn't have the body, face and posture to do justice to a dress like that. It ended up looking cheap. Plus all those ruffles on her dress just made it look worse. Clearly some designers like to go overboard with there designs and these celebs wear it thinking this is fashion.

But it's not... not every outfit made suits everyone. A person should know what suits them and what doesn't. Just like for example if DP wears a high slit dress it will look good on her because she's tall and toned. But if Alia wore it.. it would end up looking bad.. cause she's short and doesn't have long legs to do justice to a highslit.

Sonam tried very hard to be sexy and wear risqu outfits but because of her face and posture she fails half the time.

She has a very homely, almost baby face with just doesn't go with half the stuff she dares to wear.
