Sometimes he takes my breath away with his story telling other times he bores me to death.

But I loved his grand vision which no one in BW has been able to achieve.

He sees it in his mind and never compromises in quality.

There is no denying he is supremely talented.

He is a very intelligent film maker. Sometimes may go wrong but mostly gives very good movies which the masses like.

His films are mainly known for the sets - chandeliers , curtains , palaces etc

his films may not be everyone taste but they hav been appreciated by many people, he is considered one of the best directors in india, yes not every one of his films is perfect but he is able to produce stuff onscreen that many other directors cannot

I have just liked Black. But even that isn't a multiple-time watch movie for me.

He concentrates too much on the decor and costumes etc and not his characters. I can never connect to any of them. Superficial and shallow IMO
