That was in response to an Akki fan coming to say "he pays taxes in India" as if it was something to be proud of and giving him a certificate of desh bhakti.

But I see you didn't notice that post but noticed mine. 😃

As for voting in Canada, I assume he votes in Canada because that would be one of the major reasons for becoming a citizen. He gave up his right to vote and have a say in government and democracy in India.

He wanted Canadian citizenship - why? He can own property there without a passport and he can go make movies there without a passport too.

We pay property taxes in India too...

Akki lives in India still gave up the right to vote in his own country. Citizenship means u can only vote in that country.

umm...that's definitely not an answer to my question...but I wont be surprised if you don't have any...Because I am sure even you don't believe desh bhakti means having the citizenship of that country!😃
