the movie is influenced by Neazys life and also other desi rappers, he isn't writing all the dialogues, neazy said he hasn't read the final script, he is going to train ranveer to get him into the character and teach him a few desi hip hop dialogues, the team hav been working on this movie for the past 18 months, and filming starts in november, so they seem to be doing a lot of preparation to make it authentic as possible

i like the fact that this movie is different to wat zoya usually makes, she usually makes films about high class people, but here she will making a movie about a boy who grew up in he slums and rose to fame

I am excited that Naezy is playing a big part in the writing. It is really important to get his insights if the story is going to truly reflect his life.

This is going to be different and edgy. I really love Alia, but I was worried about her playing gritty. Then I watched Udta Punjab. I think she can handle just about anything.

dont know the full story yet, but the general story i think is about a boy that grew up in the slums with an aspiration to become a rapper, its based on the life of real desi rappers like Neazy

The role is absolutely perfect for ranveer, ranveer has rapped quite a few times such as in the songs aadat se majboor and in his jack and jones and rupa frontline ad, he sometimes even writes the lyrics to the raps,he also loves hip hop music 😊
