Just read this on Pinkvilla. And apparently another Pakistani actress (Sanam Saeed) was offered an audition?

Why didn't they stick with Huma? She would have been good in this role.

Huma Qureshi is fat and common looking. There is a reason why she hasn't made it big even when she can act well.

Huma would have been good as well in this role. I noticed she pairs quite well with Akshay in Jolly LLB 2. She is a performer too. Would love to see Huma and SRK work together one day. <3

Mahira is doing well enough so far too, though I think she pales a bit in comparison to SRK. SRK is just so intense.

I kind of agree with this lol. An Indian actress would not get the same 'interest' Mahira's casting has garnered. Also, Mahira's casting makes Pakistanis curious about the film which is an added market for Raees.

As they say, no such thing as bad publicity.
