Does anyone feels that Rangoon has same vibes as Pearl Harbor had, Love Triangle set in the backdrop of War?

Vishal is known to pick up Shakespeare works mostly to make films, like Maqbool, Omkara & Haider, this time what is the background of story?

That movie is atrocious. It took such an important event in history and made a mockery of it. Apart from a few cool action shots, there is nothing redeemable about that movie.

I hope Rangoon is nothing like Pearl Harbour. And Vishal is too good to be inspired by a Micheal Bay movie.

Yes, EPIC they are, 2nd time Vishal's film had this much Fab Posters, 1st time was Omkara.

Not asking content wise as we haven't seen the film, i am asking after seeing the posters, it reminded me of that film, so asked if anyone felt the same.

Vishal won't be inspired from Michael Bay, but he might be inspired by theme setup of PH.

I think Pearl Harbor is the most glossiest representation of WW. Rangoon definitely looks more real, gritty and dark from all angles.

Didnt they already say VB was inspired by Casablanca?

Humphrey Bogart, Ingrid Bergman, war movie, love triangle, deceit, betrayal...

I think even Pearl Harbor was inspired by Casablanca but it was not a great film like Casablanca

PH was basically a love story set in that time-period so no-one was supposed
To take it as a slice of history anyway but does anyone know what Rangoon is based on? I know nothing about this movie
