She said she was fake with her emotions... Strong from outside, saying she was over her ex but from within she was ready to go and embrace him on single sight of his!

Posing a tough exterior yet being vulnerable inside is how most people are. I wouldn''t call it as being "fake." That's just one of the ways MANY (if not all) people get through life. Also, everyone has their share of weaknesses no matter how confident, tough or whatever else they come across. Alizeh's weakness was Ali and that's what was ruining her inside.

I find it interesting how she said she couldn't relate to Alizeh at all. I think out of all the characters, Alizeh was perhaps the only one who most people related to because she was the most human. The film was very flawed, so were the characters..but IMO, Alizeh was the best character in the entire film despite whatever flaws her characterization had. I'm kind of surprised at reading how Anushka felt about her...even more so, since she was pretty convincing with portraying her from what I saw.

That was exactly what she said - what u said..
She said initially she couldn't get Alizeh.. like why will this girl who shows such a strong exterior has in reality not have any self respect and keeps going back to a man who has never given her fidelity or respect..
and she said she couldn't just say dialogues aise hi.. she had to get a character to play her..

And she thought and discussed it enough with Karan until she got Alizeh and she finally empathized with Alizeh.. and what she did was humanize Alizeh despite all her flaws.. so that she could be imperfect.. but amazingly relateable for a lot of us who watched her.. and we found her Alizeh endearing..
That is what Anu said in the round table & then the pre release interviews regarding just how much she needed to discuss and clarify with Karan to get to Alizeh's head space..

These articles write bits and pieces so out of context sometimes that it gives a completely different pov from what was intended!

gosh people, its called acting, that's why she took it up.

Wait why isn't she allowed to criticize the character?? She did the movie, so she should be silent and not say anything just because of that?? 😕

I had the same problem with Alizeh.. found her too superficial and selfish in a lot of ways...it took her quite a while to figure out Ayan was in love with her... her biggest weakness was Ali, and we were never really shown enough to figure out how she fell in love with Ali or why she was so madly in love with Ali... even the way she ended her marriage was quite abrupt... both main characters were so superficial and selfish.. i was okay with Ayan until he pulled off that obnoxious scene where he demands her to love him and that whole comparison with Ali scene post her cancer reveal... in comparison to him Alizeh seemed slightly better...

Mirchi: Real mirchi, you said everything about Alizeh I wanted to too! Lmao! I had a dumb bimbo friend exactly like her!! Would make all the boys do stuff for her, hang out with them, give them hope & then when they were done doing her assignments etc.. Dump them! I used to feel so bad for those boys because how can people be so mean as to play with someone's sincere affection. Yuck yuck yuck!!! Alizeh sort of did the same thing. Even while knowing RK is madly in love with her, she gallivants everywhere with him & makes sure he's strung on a leash while telling him "we are just bffs just bffs just bffs." The kind thing would've been to distance herself completely from him because however "cool" you might be, once you're in love you'll always always always have that hope that that person reciprocates the same & will view every gesture of theirs with the hope of said love being returned. I felt like slapping all of them ESP Alizeh but most of all stupid KJo & his male Alizeh!!!
