Gauri K is the most overrated Interior designer I've come across. We'd visited her Delhi store and she was one of the designers we'd approached for our Delhi house over the summer. Though some of their collection was nice more than half of it was just furniture and accessories she'd procured off Harrods, Harvey Nichols and other similar store. None of it reflected any form of creativity, I don't think she even understands that buying expensive furniture does not equal to good interior designing. And from what I've seen (atleast in terms of the Delhi crowd) most people approach her because they want to get the Gauri Khan tag and get closer to the Bollywood lot than actually caring about the interior designing. In terms of RK though he doesn't need to network this way but I suppose he was going through a phase where his films weren't doing well so he probably wanted to remain in KJO's and SRK's good books

Did I say that anywhere? I said 'he doesn't need to network this way but I suppose'. I went by what I've seen around in Delhi and assumed it works the same way within Bollywood. It's a sheer guess so don't try and twist my words around.

I see Gauri and RK's association symbiotic. It gives excellent PR n credentials to both. Gauri gets an A lister as a client whose name will add credibility to her brand. And RK gets excellent PR people will talk about his interiors and home more coz apparently the King's wifey has done the interiors. It has more weigtage than say AK's wife or HR's ex-wife. Also I see it as Kjo's doing in getting these two to work together..its more than evident that Kjo is now more closer to Gauri than even SRK. And his love for RK n Alia is not hidden either.

Since when did interior designing started being exclusively about designing the furniture. Of course her store has artifacts, furniture, accessories from various places apart from her own designs. I don't think she has ever stated that her store only has stuff that she has personally designed. The whole point of the store is you can see stuff from everywhere at one place. You hire an interior designer usually not because you want them to personally design the furniture you want in your home but because you like their sense of aesthetic and perhaps think they can help you when it comes to your home space.

Do people realise this very much could have been the client's taste?

And why would RK want to suck up with SRK? RK is a KAPOOR man.. LIKE WHAT WHAT WHAT?

He is conveniently a KAPOOR who can go to extreme lengths to secure his BW career !! He can conspire with MNS to throw actors out!! BUT, he is a weakling who needs to reach SRK via Gauri , when it suits the bashers 😉

Wait a minute , why did SRK not ask Chintu Jee to put in a word to RT?
😲 . He loved Gauri's work so much that he tweeted about it. I am sure all Chintu Jee needed to do was write a whatsapp message to RT - Raju, SRK ki movie release meii koi problem nai honi chiyee. Ranbir's career depends on SRK !!

This ain't Gauri's first big project! The woman has been working as a professional in this field for over five years and has designed interiors of spaces that are probably bigger than Ranbir's home. As for Ranbir...damn! The guy really doesn't get much credit here ..does he! Now he needs PR on the lines of this! How is who designed the interior of his home going to help him in any way! He's an actor for crying out loud..lol!

I didn't think it was offensive either but she has been working on big projects for awhile now. Of course because Ranbir is an actor and one who's quite famous, it makes more news.
