'Ash-Abhishek wedding in '07'

BANGALORE: Astrologer Chandrashekar Swami, who first said Aishwarya Rai and Abhishek Bachchan would become a pair early this year, now claims: "They will get married anytime between January 14 and February 27 in 2007 as per my advice."

The astrologer told TOI over phone from Dubai, where he is performing a puja at a top industrialist's house, that Aishwarya and Abhishek were in Varanasi at his suggestion.

When marital proposals first did the rounds, a hitch that Swami foresaw was that the beauty is a manglik . "I advised their families to perform this corrective puja at an ancient Shiva temple. By taking Aishwarya to Varanasi where Amitabh Bachchan's father Harivanshrai Bachchan's annual rituals are observed, the Bachchans are sending a message to the rest of the country that Aishwarya is now part of their family," explains Swami.

Both families are going by astrological predictions and suggestions. The wedding, they have been advised, should take place only after the Makara phase post January 14.

In keeping with the dictum of "ancient Shiva temple", the couple and the Bachchans were at Sankat Mochan temple at Varanasi on Monday.

And contrary to splitsville incidents in Bollywood, this couple after tying the knot, according to Swami, will lead quite a happy married life "without any disconnections (sic)." This despite the age difference — she's 33, he's 31.
