Spare some change

ACTOR Akshay Kumar apparently surprised the staff at a suburban restaurant in Mumbai on Sunday by leaving a pretty tip. (He also paid for the meal, which he had with his family, in cash). The star is one of the highest tax payers in the country, and was supposedly carrying Rs 18,000 in cash. A modest amount to some, we suppose. But onlookers at the posh eatery were surprised to see him remove a wad of new currency. We suppose the nationwide demonetisation drive has hit some harder than others, but at least the restaurant's staff is happy with a full till.

PS: With withdrawal limit at only Rs. 24,000 I wonder how he had so much cash already? If tip was Rs.18000 then assuming tip to be standard 6% bill was Rs.3,00,000. Even at per head basis max he could not have withdrawn more than Rs. 2,00,000 for his entire family.

Only actor who stood in a Q was Telugu actor Ravi Babu. But it was to promote his film.

18,000 mein hi bill and tip included I think😆

Nope article talks about tip of Rs.18,000. Bill was also paid in cash. Bill + tip paid in new currency. Given that cash withdrawal limit on an account is Rs. 24,000 just a Rs. 18000 bill plus tip would not have evoked an article on it. Rs. 18,000 even I have in new currency.
