He was so sweet and cute and shared all his inhibitions with her...and loved her so much!
Are girls really into bewafa men like Ali who mistreat women? 🤔
And she didn't even understand his emotions...just shut the poor thing away! 😡

All he wanted was love...and he was the only one who stood by her through thick and thin, when her family cut her off, when Ali and her broke off, and when she got cancer, he even shaved off his head but that too evoked no reaction...

I've seen friendships and even the way their friendship was depicted from the beginning came across as two young people dating! Doesn't this movie contradict the whole idea of KKHH which is that friendship is love?

On a side note, who in their right mind would reject fricking Aishwarya Rai...like come on Ranbir, chodo Anushka ko and move on. 😆🤔

Basically all the characters in the movie were so selfish and borderline frivolous...! There's something called compromise in life too! Kjo loves these love squares... 😆

SRK loves Aish => Aish doesn't so she leaves him.
Aish loves Ranbir => Ranbir does not so they part ways.
Ranbir loves Anushka => Anushka doesn't so she friendzones him.
Anushka loves Fawad => Fawad is a cheater and doesn't give two hoots about Anushka.

And then there's cheaters Lisa and Imran... 😆😆😆

You can't make people love you in the way you want them to. That's what Ayan had to learn in the end..which is why his love was was unrequited. You also can't help but fall in love with people..it's out of your control. That applies to basically Alizeh, Ayan, Saba and Tahir lol..aka everyone. They may not be ideal for you but that doesn't stop you from loving them.
And I think this film actually sides with the entire pyar dosti hai concept from KKHH...in that love doesn't always have to be on the basis of romance..that's exactly what Alizeh had to explain to Ayan.

Yeah I get your point...but I found Anushka's character quite shallow tbh though...and I felt Ayan should have moved on...unless you are vella and in a kJO movie, realistically, you cannot spend all your days running after a lady... 😆

Idk I found all the characters selfish and the emotions forced.
The plot in post climax made no sense, what was the significance of the cancer episode???

Because they're humans. They are all flawed. There are no 'ideal' characters in this movie. Everyone in this world wants what they want...that's a fundamental truth. And in this day and age, if most people don't get what they want, they don't feel the need, out of social pressure or via some virtues of mahaanta, to torture themselves and stay in certain unhealthy relationships (like the women in this movie don't) or make themselves feel a certain way because others demand that of them (again, like the women in this movie don't.) You may term it as selfishness...but I see it as self-awareness and there's nothing frivolous about knowing what you want, what you don't want, and setting your own boundaries. Just because someone loves you doesn't mean you're going to love them back or should love them back in the same exact way as they do...that's a very bizarre and rigid idea.

She wasn't physically attracted to him. That's why they had their early sequence of them kissing and her start to laugh because she wasn't turned on by him at all. Same concept as Rani and Abhishek in KANK. She even calls him her brother at one point.

Unfortunately both Anushka and Ranbir's characters seemed frivolous to me also. Young overprivileged rich people drinking and jumping around partying meaninglessly with nothing of value within themselves. Even their supposed pain made me want to roll my eyes. I think that's why KJo stuck in the manipulative last twist to make their story seem IMPORTANT because now there was something besides their frivolous first world problems.

They were messy people due to bad parenting/familial relationships which are hardly only a first world problem. Heartbreak is also hardly a first-world problem...everyone experiences it and feels it the same way...money doesn't make rejection or lack of fulfillment in life disappear. You can have a private jet, but if you don't have someone to whom you can reveal the real you and share your personality with, the feeling of loneliness in a first world country will be no easier to bear and learn to overcome than in a third world country. The movie is about universal emotions of heartbreak and companionship...that it is set in the lives of the rich and young is just a plot contrivance, not the core of the story.

+1. 👏 I don't know how so many members felt emotionally invested in such a shallow plot.

Yeah Alizeh loved ayan but wasn't in love with him. Happens. You don't end up liking everyone who likes you.

It's not necessary that just because someone loves u,u have to love him/her no matter how true the person's love is or how good the person is and it's not possible too.
Ayan may be a good person but he is a selfish and immatured person. Who goes to a bride and starts throwing tantrums like a 5 year old kid, tries to forcibly kiss her, curses her and her fiancee to die? It's strange that people found all these 'romantic and beautiful'.

Ayan started having affair with Saba to remove his frustrations by sleeping with her.

And then again he asks alizeh,a married woman and later when she was a dying patient why can't she love him. This is heights of selfishness and immaturity .

Yes,his love for her was true.He did take care of her but at the same time he did try to force her to love him.And that's the thing about Ayan that many people didn't like .

Regarding Alizeh marrying Ali,that's her choice. She was still in love with him.I wish they had shown a scene as to why alizeh decided to marry ali. That scene was important. May be it was edited out.

I find Alizeh more matured than Ayan. She expected love from her husband, when she didn't get it,she left him instead of forcing him to marry her.
