The movie was announced with Shahrukh and Alia. Ali , Angad , Aditya and Kunal I think came on board later. People assumed it's a cameo since the storyline essentially revolves around Alia's character. I'm guessing Shahrukh won't have as much screentime as Alia but he's playing her therapist so in terms of importance , I think his role is equally significant to the storyline.

I love the poster! Their videos on twitter so far have been darn cool too! Love the way they have promoted it so far.

I am so very excited for the movie. I hope Gauri Shinde recreates EV's charm. EV is one of the most realistic and warming hindi films I have ever see. <3

I don't think he has equal screentime. The storyline essentially revolves around Alia's character but considering he's playing her therapist, I'm guessing the role is very pivotal to the storyline. Not to mention the initial announcement too was made in a way where Alia and Shahrukh's name were announced first. The rest of the cast came on board later so I'm not surprised with the way they are promoting it too. So far it's being promoted in a way where you can see both of them in a conversation so one is guessing that's sort of the backdrop of the movie. It's about Alia's character of course but her issues and solutions to those issues would probably come into the forefront through Shahrukh's character I'm guessing. This is all conjecture on my part based on whatever little one has seen so far of the movie , whether it be the way they are promoting it or the way they announced it initially or the way both Shahrukh and Alia have talked about his role in the movie in some of the interviews out there.
