The best possible route right now for Kjo is to talk with MNS people, convince them, bribe them do whatever reqd if he wants his film to release and have a safe run OR postpone the film, take legal recourse etc.

They dont have guts to talk to MNS or any Thakrey. Bas Modi ko gaali deni h becoz they know he wont give any damn. Galli do ye kuch or karo. Bollywood's movie is too small to feature in to do list of India's PM.

Some movies get 900 screens, some 1500, some 2500, and some 3000. It's the theater owners wish if he wants to play a movie in his theater or not.

How is this situation different from the others?

Giving a wide release to a multiplex movie at single screens is harakiri... Single screens ke darshak dhajiya uda dete hai FDFS se hi. As if KJo doesn't know that.

After this Kjo should never host a party or hang out with MNS, Shiv Sena guys .

It's a clash , multiplex movie , if it gets 1000 odd screen, it be a good number. if the movie works, more shows will be added. Is the content that bad ADHM doesn't want this controversy to die down at all? This kashyap mess seemed more like gaining another prime-time slot for ADHM .

Why does BW with it's big political clout never goes to Court or files complaint against these acts if it bothers them so much? It's stupidity to imagine , Kjo, Yrf or these big league actors have no political pull in this country. Neeta Bhabhi ko hi phone karte. 😆

The association has only requested its members not to play the film. A lot of them will play and a lot of them will not. It is their individual call. COEAI has made the request to show solidarity and to protect members from any form of threat. It is a respected call.
SO out of 200-250 screens , they are also free to screen the movie.

Just keep MNS in check in mumbai 😉

I posted this bit on Friday on the forum and in the ADHM discussion thread:

However, here's why the ban is not likely to affect ADHM in any major manner:

Firstly, this ban which has been called from the Cinema Owners Association is not an all India ban. It will mainly affect the areas of Pune, Nasik and Mumbai in Maharashtra.

Secondly, a ban called by COA is not legally binding. Any movie can be legally banned for a release if the said decision is given by either the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) or the court of law.

Thirdly, most of the exhibitors do not follow the COA, instead they follow the decisions of another all India body. Hence this ban will mainly affect the above mentioned regions only.

So, in light of the above aspects, the decision of COA to ban the release of the movies starring Pakistani actors is not likely to affect the immediate release of ADHM.
