We all know how awards work... the movie was bashed cuz it flopped

but what if it was the same movie but with a business of 300 crore? do you think they would've still bashed or had they rewarded it with awards?

P.S: Did SRK/Kajol win fav jodi anywhere? 😕

A bad movie is a bad movie for me. Irrespective of who does it and how much it earns.

Now Chennai Express did well for example, but at least it had a decent storyline, proper characterization and genuinely comic scenes. Wasn't that great, but is watchable. It earned what it deserved at that time. Dilwale makes you want to break your screen within 10 minutes. That being said, good movies don't necessarily always earn as much. I feel Swades/Veer Zaara/Dil Se were some of SRK's greatest of all time, yet they were flops.

To answer your question, it would have been praised a tad bit due to the hypocrisy in the industry, but I'm sure then, most people would label SRK as the next *cough* Salman Khan. And mind you, even Salman Khan's been making good choices recently. I don't even like him, but his past couple of movies have struck a chord. SRK needs to buckle up and stop postponing his releases.
