I don't get why people think its a wrong ideology if a religion does not support it being portrayed on TV or films.. Who is to say that we are wrong?

I would like more films on Indian Mythology.
All these actors training in gym for six packs.

Are they going to a WAR that we do not know about?

Hence my point. Even I am OK with all that you have said but once you allow some, it is hard to police others. It usually also happens latter when the damage is done. For example in this Mahabharat reboot they clearly mocked with their cheap laughs. Sure some cases will be filed, few people will be mad. But why go there to begin with?

The only way you can effectively deal with this menace is to make it a no-go area. You want to learn something, go to a temple, talk to a priest or read the scriptures and holy books.

I don't know about the reboot thing u talking about! Totally clueless.

But I agree. Many times tolerance is mistaken as incompetence. More than laws or anything we should have mutual respect and understanding at a basic humane level to try and not hurt a fellow human being in be it a matter of faith, food, lifestyle etc; self control and self awareness is needed. One should not feel the compulsion of proving their faiths n beliefs to be superior as usually that is the trigger which leads to disagreement then anger and then finally insanity which ends in violence.

One argument is- if there is no portrayal of religion, there is no questioning beliefs propagated that might be morally wrong or out of place in today's times.

IMO, if followers of certain religions don't want their figures or ideologies to be depicted, it's their choice. Personally, I think religion should be open to debate and discussion because all religions have some questionable practices ingrained in them.

People should be able to understand religion and not just follow it blindly.

All I am saying is k if a certain group of followers do not want their religion to be depicted in movies or films, they should not be considered wrong.. Yes.. Religion should be open to debate and discussion lekin us k lie movies and TVs mein religions figures ka use hona zaroori nahi hai

But who is the one who is saying its not ok to be portrayed in films, drama, books etc; I mean who is the authority who provokes people against it? God? Or people who claim to know God better? If we do not question at all then how would we evolve?

I am totally against of mocking any religion or their representation of God. Just a general POV about why one cannot introspect?

As far as I can see no one thinks its wrong to not wanting one's religion to be depicted in creative fields the problem arises when they do not like the portrayal of their faith but will not think twice before mocking other people's faith let alone portraying it. I feel compassion and consideration should be equal to all.
