@BI- Yes, sex determination still happens behind the doors...it has drastically reduced but like no system is perfect , it still happens in many parts of India. Obviously, the numbers have drastically reduced.

AIIIMs recently published a list about foeticide and how even in Posh places girl children were either aborted or left away..the numbers still are there.

1 is if it's a girl in the first trial 😉 but if the first child is a boy (which we can't control 😆) then second child is an adopted girl child 😊 Thus it's 2 that's our plan, I mean me and my hubby's 😳

Ok I just blurted out my personal plan which no one would be interested about 😆 Why legalize 2 - Because having a brother/sister/sibling teaches you lot of things, and it does create a healthy atmosphere at home, that's what I believe.. I am pretty ok with having anything legalized - like max 1/2/3 I am ok with all, but there should be a logical limit that's what I feel, not like I want a cricket team and no one should have a problem with it because it's a free country 😆

I know number of couples, who recently had a babies in India were not even bothered to know about the gender of the baby. I know 3-4 of Indian origin families in USA too who wants a surprise and do not want to know gender even though it's not banned here.

So it's not something common. Mindset is changing a lot. I am actually witnessing a change around me in Middle class people.

Educated people do not care about the sex of the baby anymore..I know of couples who have two girls and they are raising them with such love and care...and I have never seen them regret that they don't have a boy.
