Satyamev Jayate showed, % of educated families indulge in female infanticide was higher. It had some shocking figures. One family of all doctors, grandma pushed 2nd girl child on the stairs from 2nd floor. Child survived but mother left the house with 2 girls. True case. Educated lot baffles me more here.

I know number of couples, who recently had a babies in India were not even bothered to know about the gender of the baby. I know 3-4 of Indian origin families in USA too who wants a surprise and do not want to know gender even though it's not banned here.

So it's not something common. Mindset is changing a lot. I am actually witnessing a change around me in Middle class people.
