No doubt PC has had a strong break out here and flourishing career, but if you consider who is the wide global face in terms of Indian cinema, people will still mention Ash, like SRK . 😊

She does sound insecure of PC. There were some blinds too. I love how PC has changed after going to HW. Can't remember the last she sounded insecure. rather her full focus is on her career! Atta girl!
Ash is the first globally known actress, true. But the most globally successful Indian actor ever is PC.

Lastly if she is tooting her horn before the film even released and putting herself in the category of people who have already achieved success, I don't know what else could've called than overconfident! Has the film already been a success or DP been praised for the role that she is saying that she did a great job? I call that overconfidence and you call that a hater 😛

Priyanka will always be remembered for her work.
Aishwarya just for her beauty.
And Deepika for her insecurities and PR.

I'm going to be bashed for this but DP is sounding a little insecure of PC IMO, all the PR articles and now this! She should let her do the work do the talking than this! Her film has not released, who decided she did a great job? Irfan has been consistently working there for some time, and PC has a full year behind her, even Anil has done some work! Putting herself is the same category, when she has not yet broken into western industry, she sounds overconfident!

Ash put the Indian film industry on the map and is the one who started this. She may have done only 4-5 films but she left a indelible mark globally and is the most recognizable Indian actress. Yes, she is the torch bearer! I am glad Deepika acknowledged it. Bride and Prejudice is one the most popular Indian English movies, right up there in the top 3 with BILB & Slumdog.

PC is another big success but we will see how she does in the movies. But kudos to her for Quantico, but she is no torch bearer.

If you read an old interview of Dp when she was a model, she talks about how Aish is an inspiration to her. So I feel that Dp admired Aish for many years

Deepika was asked about Priyanka but started talking about Aish... hmmm... 😆
