That one scene in Hum Aapke Hai Kaun - where Reema Laagoo's character stares coyishly at Alok Nath's character as he pretty much serenades her with his harmonium. W*F is that about? Did I miss something? Were they lovers during college but then Anupam Kher's character marries her or something?

That scene always f**ks with my head, ever single time I re-watch the movie. It's so weird for a bhabhi-bhaiyya-samdhan-whatever to sing and look at each other the way their characters did in that song.

This is probably the stupidest topic ever sorry, but I really wanna know. I've always wondered if, even after watching the movie so many times, I missed something about their characters pasts 😆 When things bug me this much about a movie I have a hard time forgetting.

Like I know he's all 'samdhan samdhan' but he's singing about her earrings and hair and whatnot and she's all shy. It makes me laugh 😕😆

Well it is mentioned before this song that during college days Alok Nath's character used to have a crush on Reema but she liked Anupam instead and got married to him..

Serenading tak toh theek tha but Reema's coy expressions look so inppropriate 😆

Exactly! Her expressions are totally inappropriate. I used to be so confused like why is Anupam Kher's charatcter encouraging the wooing of his wife by his childhood friend.

Anyways I know this was such an asinine topic but I'm glad I finally know. Now I can rewatch an old favorite without getting creeped the f**k out during this music segment.

This is Sooraj B's idea of family parampara have two people feel unresolved sexual tension for each other and shamelessly sing for one another while Anupam enjoys seeing his wife and her college friend at it. Barjatya has one kinky imagination lol

HAHK is an overlong music video. And Reema Lagoo was totally coquettish in this song. Eww.

This one was based on Nadiya ke Paar, a much more nuanced film. Prem and Nisha didn't fall in love during one silly Yeh Mausam Ka Jaadu sequence.

Many of Barjatya's films are remakes of Rajshri's own films. I love watching old Rajshri films of yt. Uncomplicated village life with great rustic music.
