His acting is poor. His dance is over the top. His dancing in Jaaaneman Aah - is way too energetic and kind of misses the beats.

yaa i agree in some points with you but he has that charm and screen presence ... i kinda like him... his movies are doing well

I agree. He is absolutely no hero material.Side role material like ritesh deshmukh type.

And his dancing pisses me off.

He totally ruined ABCD2 for me.

He shouldn't be near people like Raghav,Dharmesh sir,lauren and punit let alone dance with them.

Dhawan may average choices in film but he puts his best effort to promotions to showcasing the film

Much better dancer than over-energetic CHING. And he doesn't need back to back YRF and established directors like SLB, Adi C and Zoya to get him successful films

No matter what IF thinks. Outside this forums Varun is a known bankable star and has better BO record than Ching and his other contemporaries

6 films old and all are success. Ironically each time credit is given to someone else

I think Varun is extremely hardworking and has a great connect with the audience. What I am disappointed in is probably his choices - I loved how he mixed it up with Badlapur in a year that had ABCD2 and Dilwale but unfortunately his choices after that failed to impress.

When it comes to acquiring projects - most actors have people backing them. Unfortunately, I don't believe Rohit or David have the capability of providing VD with a role that would conventionally be called a breakthrough role. But he does have the ability to do films with other directors, production houses and they've done better for him.

I find Varun quite entertaining offscreen, his eagerness to promote his films is evident and he always promotes a fun atmosphere among whoever his colleague may be - be it Alia/Shraddha/Pari or Nawaz/John. Also, he's a great dancer and while comedy and dynamic roles are his forte - I thought he did a pretty good job in restraining himself and delivering a refined performance in Badlapur. Hope we get to see that side of him again soon. Good looks - I believe he is goodlooking. Some may not. It's okay - I don't find HR goodlooking. 😆 So all in all, I find him quite the package 😆 Certainly not below average as compared to his contemporaries.
