And for the record there is nothing wrong with defending your favorite. This is not about asking one to stop loving or deserting them as a fan. In fact speaking out over a said issue should also not directly make you ineligible to be a fan anymore. It only becomes a problem when the other party tries to convince you that you are wrong or directly assume that you are xyz supporter. Or they somehow want you to drop a said issue and behave like it didn't happen because it is too inconvenient to them.
