@Bold true...and threads on other actors with regards to Salman's comments have been made earlier too where pretty much every actress from Kangana, PC to DP to Sonam to even Swara have been criticised for not taking a stand while calling themselves feminists. With regards to Anushka and this particular episode, expressing disappointment in her does not translate into people directing special hatred towards her...making such an assumption is an over-reaction of sorts too since everyone under the sun from SRK to Vivek have been called out on this Salman issue.
Yes I agree... This forum has by and large denounced all celebs who failed to take a stand on the issue... Let me just add onto my original comment and say that I meant overreaction of certain members who choose to be ignorant when it comes to their favorite celebs but are always ready to criticise everyone else.
I dont like making posts directed at forum members but sometimes the hypocrisy just gets to me.
Anyway. I defended Sonakshi and I am defending Anu too. Because frankly they are powerless. They are young actresses who are trying their best to make hay while the sun shines. Because 5-7 years down the line they will not have the fan-following that male superstars enjoy even in their 50s. Can we really expect them to challenge people like Salman?
And yes, that does make their feminist rants on twitter look hypocritical. But at the end of the people can only afford the luxury of standing by their beliefs if they have the power to do so... Sonakshi is much more powerful than KRK so she would speak up against him but not against Salman.
In short, people choose the easy route and I dont judge these actresses for doing so.
