People are just not understanding the issue here! 😔

If it was just the word rape used, then it would be unfortunate choice of words but not as shocking or disgusting.
He didnt just say the word "rape", he said the words, "RAPED WOMAN"

He said he felt like a raped woman! He compared his condition with that of a raped woman!

If he had said, "I felt like I had been raped", then it would be unfortunate but not so disgusting!

Now I hope people will understand what was so horrible abt that remark!

Salman Khan is 50 years old. He should know better than to compare his pain with a rape's victim. What can I say... everyone I met today said how mean and clueless Salman is and I agreed with them all.

He could have used the word 'sore' . And yes we do say things we do not wnat to say but i have never in my life heard anyone say that the pain i felt was equal to the pain a raped women felt. I can say that he did not do it purposely but its astonishing that such a comparison even csme to his mind. Purposely or not , it was disgusting and he deserves all the nasty comments.

If you go by that logic, then find the most serious issue in the world and forget about all other issues. He has been controversial all his life and got away many times. How many times you gonna forgive him just because there are other big issues?

yes serious issues like Nirbhaya case , serious issues like a 5 years old baby girl raped by a 30 year old prick, serious issues like a 30 year old woman gang raped, serious issues like a passenger raped by the auto driver, serious issues like a student raped by the school staff not once but multiple times.. such serious issues have triggered all of us concluding that SALMAN KHAN is illiterate about the frequency and consequences of female molestation, he is an uneducated, chauvinistic, millionaire who has shot for his film, by his own will, for which he will get paid, and the worship is bonus, 600 crs at the box office, everything benefiting his physical work out and he still has the balls sorry he actually has no balls, he still has the nerves to compare or equate some stupid fatigue suffered by him to that of the physical ache of a raped victim. his stardom does not give him the rights and the ticket to say whatever he wants, especially after he has a history of beating women, and killing homeless people, which by the way are serious and heinous crimes in every democratic nation.

Using word Rape is actually very common . Like " He sang the song so badly that he raped it". Its wrong usage, but it happens IRL.

Coming from a celebrity like Salman, it becomes a crime coz he is idol of millions and his jokes and vocabulary is instantly adopted by entire fandom. That's why its not acceptable that he used this word in press conference.

not defending salman for making that statement but u r right people use that word very common ..i saw some members even saying for "raping the report button " on this forum very loosely ..and i dont see any objection from any members instead saw likings for that comment 1

Did the rape line in Kaminey make fun of the plight faced by a raped woman? If yes, it is disgusting too.. It is not just the word rape that is the issue here.. He used the pain and plight of a raped woman to describe the soreness that he felt after he works out.. You seriously see no difference in how rape is used in movies vs this situation?

I totally agree with you and rape is not about physical pain only but Salman was describing his physical pain .He was describing the walk and to be more accurate he used that word.If you remember in films ,they show the victim's finding difficulty in walking. When a person describes his own pain how can be he make fun of a raped victim ?..The main thing he was describing his pain and nothing else and still for hurting the sentiments he should apologize but I don't get with the hate comments and nasty comments. We are behaving as if he raped someone. We are behaving as if we never made mistakes in communication. He unintentionally hurted but we are intentionally hurting by using filthy words which I found wrong.

Like I said it is all about the context and to me it was very inappropriate and insensitive and he used it to disparage a rape victim and their ordeal. Even if I do go by with your logic don't you think it would have been a better example to say. "After the shoot I was so drained and beaten up like some rapist who received a good beating by the entire mob. Every part of my body hurt to walk".

Now this would have highlighted that it is not ok to rape. And those who do face such consequences. You will be beaten black and blue and reduced to a pulp so don't do it kids. But nah. Instead he went all high and mighty of what happens to a rape victim who has been broken like a wild horse.
