Don't misquote me. I never said "Jackie is such a star". Stop. I never even ONCE said Jackie is a superstar. NOT ONCE. Neither did I say that he has NEVER done a z grade role.
LOOK, let me say it again. When I mention HNY and DHOOM 3, I'm NOT saying he was the main lead, the crowd-pulling superstar, or anything like that. All I was saying was he had a well-defined roles (atleast in my opinion) even if it was ONLY a supporting role. I don't care about the z grade roles he has done, I am only comparing to the 2 movies recently that the majority of people would remember he was in. Of course he has done z grade films, but that is not what I am making any comparison to. In comparison, I just felt that HOUSEFULL 3, another movie in which he has a SUPPORTING role, felt like a weaker role in comparison to those movies, in my opinion, that's all. Even Brothers, another big film he was recently in, which although failed at the box office, I would say he had a stronger role. He has strong acting talent when tapped properly.
I have already acknowledged that the film is doing well. It's going to enter the 100 crore club and earn a HIT tag. It's a FACT that I WILL NOT deny.
Having seen the film, I still maintain that it's a weak film, and I am very surprised by how the film is performing at the box office, especially in a year where it has been mostly critically acclaimed films that have done very well at the box office (BAAGHI and now HOUSEFULL 3 are the exceptions).
