I am not sure why you are making this personal. This is not about you and me.

I said I believe a parent could sue a filmmaker for putting an underage girl in a film like Gangster and still do. Whether her parents would sue is irrelevant. A responsible filmmaker would want a legal guarantee, wouldn't he? Even if no money exchanged hands surely the negative publicity if a parent objected to his small town underage daughter on film doing the things she did would make a filmmaker want guarantees, no? Which leads to my question of would he have chosen an underage girl at all?

Edit: I am not sure why you capitalized the word left in your post? Maybe because she was traveling alone? I was talking about traveling internationally in my post, not to another city. Also just because something is commonly stated in threads doesn't make it true.

I agree but some people don't accept she has lied so much in the past. So yes this is like convicting Al Capone for tax fraud because proof of the real crimes is hard to come by.

On what are u basing this whole argument the filmmaker wouldn't take kangana outside? She is 30 now ? ok..does the one year alteration change the dynamics of this whole issue?

In fact this story reminded me of two different stories that I happened to read with a gap of 13 years between them.
The first story appeared on the Eye Catchers page (the back page) of India Today in October 1991. In fact it wasn't really a story but a small snippet talking about the sudden marriage of chotte nawaab Saif Ali Khan, aged 21, and starlet Amrita Singh, aged 26. Saif had married a women who was five years older to him, said the news item. (Once Sachin Tendulkar followed suit a few years later that made marrying an older woman, became more socially acceptable. But back then most people, found this rather scandalous).
The second story appeared in almost every publication and talked about the divorce of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh. Saif, at the time of their separation in 2004, was 34 and Amrita was 46. Rather interesting.
In the 13 years they had been married, the difference in their ages had increased from 5 years to 12 years. Rather interesting :)
So what this clearly meant was that Amrita at the time of marriage was 33 and not 26, as she had claimed (or perhaps as India Today had said).
Now let us take the case of Mallika Sherawat, who claims to be born on October 24, 1981. So that makes her a little over 27. But if previous media reports are to be believed Mallika Sherawat (then known as Reema Lamba) used to be an air-hostess with Air India in the mid 1990s, that being the case, she couldn't have been an air hostess at the age of 15-16. So the fact of the matter is Mallika is also much older than what she claims to be.[/quote]
